13W Solar Backpack
Follow the charging path, position the panel and troubleshoot common power issues.

The backpack does not store energy. The solar system is not a direct laptop charger. Stop use if cables or electronics are damaged, unusually hot or swollen.

Identify the internal connections
Find the internal USB junction box in the diagram. Use a compatible charging cable between its USB-A or Type-C output and your phone or power bank input. Check that the cable is connected to the intended input, not another output.
The backpack has no built-in energy storage. A power bank is separately supplied. Do not treat the external USB socket as a battery or an independent power source.

Internal junction box and cable locations, from the 13W manual. Choose your charging arrangement
The manual recommends a power-bank-based arrangement for phone use: charge the power bank from the internal junction box, then use the power bank’s output to charge your device.
Charging a power bank while it is powering another device requires that power bank to explicitly support simultaneous charging and discharging. Otherwise collect energy first, then charge your device.
The solar system does not charge a laptop directly. Laptop charging requires a suitable power bank output, compatible charging protocols and cables.

Charging arrangements from the manual; the backpack itself does not store energy. Position the panel and check charging
Face the solar panel toward unobstructed sunlight. Even partial shading can reduce charging; movement changes the angle and available light.
Keep the connected phone and power bank out of direct sunlight. Check the device’s own charging indicator rather than assuming that panel exposure guarantees charging.

FIND YOUR SYMPTOM
Let's work through it.
Open the question that matches your issue. These checks do not require opening or repairing the electronics.
My phone does not show that it is charging
Check in this order
- Check that the solar panel is exposed to unobstructed light.
- Match the connection to the internal junction-box diagram. Check the device input and cable connections.
- If using a power bank, check whether it has stored energy and whether you are using its output to the phone.
What to look for: Look at the phone or power bank’s own charging status.
If it is still unresolved: Tell us the connected device, cable and whether you used the junction box or an external socket.

Check in this order
- Check whether your movement turns the panel away from the sun or brings it into shade.
- Check the cable connections without bending the solar panel.
- Try the power-bank arrangement described above. Confirm simultaneous input/output support before using it that way.
What to look for: Check whether a stationary, unobstructed position produces a steadier charging indication.
If it is still unresolved: Describe the lighting conditions and your complete connection path.
Manual: PDF pages 4–7 and 11. Power-path notes also reflect LINKSOLAR’s supplied clarification.
Get help with this product ↓The power bank does not appear to charge
Check in this order
- Connect a junction-box output to the power bank’s charging input.
- Check the power bank’s own input requirements and charge indicator.
- Make sure sunlight reaches the panel; do not leave the power bank in direct sun.
What to look for: Check the power bank’s input/charging indicator according to its own instructions.
If it is still unresolved: Provide the power bank model and a description of the cable and ports used.
Manual: PDF pages 4–7 and 11. Power-path notes also reflect LINKSOLAR’s supplied clarification.
Get help with this product ↓The external USB socket has no output
Check in this order
- Do not assume the external socket contains stored power.
- Check the internal cable and the source connected to it against the manual’s diagram.
- When a power bank supplies that path, confirm it has charge and that its output is enabled according to its own instructions.
What to look for: Check whether the connected device indicates charging once a suitable power source is connected.
If it is still unresolved: Send the connection details; do not disassemble the socket or junction box.
Manual: PDF pages 4–7 and 11. Power-path notes also reflect LINKSOLAR’s supplied clarification.
Get help with this product ↓Charging is slower than the example in the manual
Check in this order
- Check whether any portion of the fixed panel is shaded.
- Face the panel toward the sun and consider the available sunlight and temperature.
- Keep electronics out of direct sun. Manual test-time examples are reference values, not outdoor guarantees.
What to look for: Judge charging by your device’s status under the current conditions, not by a promised completion time.
If it is still unresolved: Share the equipment model and conditions if charging remains ineffective.
Manual: PDF pages 4–7 and 11. Power-path notes also reflect LINKSOLAR’s supplied clarification.
Get help with this product ↓Can I charge a laptop directly from the solar panel?
Check in this order
- Do not connect a laptop expecting direct solar laptop charging from this backpack.
- Use a separately supplied power bank with an output and charging protocol suitable for that laptop.
- Check all cables and any intermediate socket path for compatibility. A connector shape alone does not guarantee charging capability.
What to look for: Only a compatible, adequately charged power source and supported connection path can provide laptop charging.
If it is still unresolved: Provide your laptop, power bank and cable models before relying on a setup.
LINKSOLAR power-path clarification; do not interpret the manual’s laptop timing illustration as direct solar laptop charging.

Care & storage.
If the surface is wet, wipe it with a dry cloth and let it dry at room temperature. Do not wash the backpack with water because electrical parts are inside.
Protect the backpack and charging ports in heavy rain. Avoid excessive bending, heavy pressure and loads that may deform or damage the panel.
Keep phones and power banks out of direct sun during use.
