02 · WHAT 30W MEANS

15W closed.
30W fully deployed.

The fixed front panel is rated at 15W. Open the bottom zipper and pull out the hidden second 15W panel when you stop to expose both panels and increase the active solar collection area in clear sunlight.

03 · BC BACK-CONTACT SOLAR CELLS

BC cells, built to keep
the front surface clear.
BC cells.
A clear front surface.

The PT-B-30W uses BC (back-contact) solar cells. The electrical contacts sit on the rear of each cell instead of across its light-facing surface.

  • Rear-side contactsPlace the electrical contacts away from the light-facing surface.
  • No front metal fingersReduces the front-grid shading shown in the comparison.
  • Better use of compact panel areaLeaves more of the cell surface exposed to incoming light.
Cell design does not guarantee constant backpack output. Actual power still varies with sunlight, panel angle, shade, temperature, cable and connected-device demand.

04 · USB OUTPUT

Solar input inside.
USB power for your devices.

The internal solar controller is connected to the solar panels and provides USB-A and USB-C (Type-C) output for a compatible phone or your own power bank.

01

USB-A with QC 3.0

Supports 5V/4.5A, 5V/3A and 9V/2A modes, with a maximum USB-A output of 22.5W.

02

USB-C output

Supports up to 5V/3A, or 15W maximum.

03

Two ports can work together

The confirmed combined output is up to 24W, subject to available sunlight, cable, charging protocol and device demand.

Interface limits are not continuous solar guarantees. Available power changes with real conditions.

05 · CHOOSE HOW YOU CHARGE

Stop. Deploy both panels.
Then choose your charging path.
Stop. Deploy. Connect.

For the best available solar collection, set the backpack down in clear sunlight, fully extend the hidden panel and keep both panels facing the sun.

01 · SET UP FOR SUN

Fully deploy the second panel

Open the bottom zipper, pull the hidden 15W panel out completely and place the backpack steadily. Point both panels toward unobstructed sunlight before connecting a device.

02 · CHOOSE A CONNECTION

Direct to a device—or through a power bank

Plan 1: In steady sunlight, connect a compatible device to the internal USB-A or USB-C output using your own cable.

Plan 2: Connect your own compatible power bank first, then use the stored energy to charge your phone more predictably later.

Power bank, phone and charging cables are not included. Available output varies with sunlight, panel angle, cable, charging protocol and device demand.

Water-resistant YKK zippers

YKK water-resistant zippers help limit splash entry during everyday travel and light rain. They do not make the entire backpack waterproof; do not immerse it, and keep charging ports and connected electronics dry.

30W solar backpack FAQ

Answers before you head outside.

Does this 30W solar backpack have a built-in battery?

No. It generates electricity when the panels receive sunlight, but it does not store power. A power bank is not included. Connect a compatible phone in steady sunlight, or use your own compatible power bank to collect available energy.

Is it always a 30W solar backpack?

The fixed front panel is rated at 15W. Pull out the hidden second 15W panel for a combined rated maximum of up to 30W when both panels are fully open under ideal sunlight. Actual output varies.

How do I open the hidden second panel?

Open the zipper at the bottom, pull the hidden panel out completely, then place the backpack steadily with both panels facing unobstructed sunlight.

Can I charge my phone directly?

Yes, if the phone is compatible and the sunlight is strong and steady. Direct charging works best when you stop and position the panels toward the sun.

Can it charge a power bank?

Yes. A compatible power bank that accepts one of the controller’s supported USB output modes can be used. Charging behavior depends on the power bank, cable, charging protocol, sunlight and panel position. The power bank is sold separately.

What output ports does it have?

USB-A supports QC 3.0 modes of 5V/4.5A, 5V/3A and 9V/2A, up to 22.5W. USB-C supports up to 5V/3A, or 15W. These are interface limits, not a promise of continuous maximum solar output.

Can USB-A and USB-C work at the same time?

Yes. The confirmed combined output is up to 24W, subject to available sunlight, cable, charging protocol and device demand.

Will it generate power while I am walking?

It can generate available power, but movement changes the panel angle and shade. Connect your own power bank while moving for more predictable device charging later.

Does it work on cloudy days?

It may produce some power in bright overcast conditions, but output will be lower and less stable than in direct sunlight. No fixed charging time is promised.

How long will charging take?

There is no single accurate time for every situation. Sunlight, one- or two-panel use, angle, shade, temperature, cable and the receiving device all affect the result.

Is the whole backpack waterproof?

The solar-panel surface is waterproof and the exterior is water-repellent. Do not immerse the backpack or connect wet electronics. No complete-backpack IP rating is claimed.

Can it charge a laptop?

No. The padded compartment can carry a laptop up to 17 inches, but the solar USB system is intended for compatible phones, power banks and other small USB devices.

What is the difference between the 13W and 30W models?

The 13W model has one fixed panel. The 30W model adds a hidden pull-out 15W panel, giving more collection area when both panels are deployed during stationary use.

What warranty does it have?

This product has a one-year limited warranty. See the Returns & Warranty section in the Help Center for current claim and return instructions.
